Welcome to O’Shea-Chaplin Academy of Irish Dance. We are a family-run, student-oriented school for dancers of all ages and abilities. Established in Ireland in 1954 and in Boston in the 1960s, we are proud to be one of the longest-running Irish dance companies in the United States. We have classes for boys and girls age four and up, beginner to championship level, and we also offer ceili and step dancing classes for adults. Our six professional teachers are certified with An Coimisiun in Dublin, Ireland, and have years of experience creating a fun and disciplined learning environment that encourages each dancer to develop his or her skills through hard work and respect. Our mission is not only to share our love of Irish dance, culture, and heritage, but to foster self esteem, a healthy mind and body, teamwork, confidence, and coordination in our dancers. In addition to teaching classes, we help each dancer find ways to perform at his or her comfort level in individual and team competitions, performances, non-competitive events, and summer camps. what they say"O'Shea Chaplin is an outstanding dance school. I have been dancing for 5 years under Rita's guidance, I have been able to exceed all my own personal goals for dance." Jill Martyn |
